Do you know that “Cannibal Holocaust 2” and “Forest Slave” are two alternate titles of this film by Mario Gariazzo, who uses an alias by the name of Roy Garrett? I prefer the original Ruggero Deodato’s infamous classic than this one because of more gore, violence and nudity.
The story has a twisted ending but not as strong as the original, not to mention the characters are less forgettable.
Catherine is disgusted by the tribe’s nature and obsessed for revenge after what they did to her parents until she suspects foul play. Umokai, at first, is repulsive and fierce but has a soft spot for her. Thanks to his sister, he learns English a little bit to tell her the truth. I feel sorry for Guanageri for being a cripple and not being able to hunt again until she manages to cure him. But how is this happened? I have no idea. Adari is a slut and deserves to die on her boat. I forgot to mention that the tribe itself is more sophisticated than the one who killed the explorers from Cannibal Holocaust.
I realize that it has toned down a little after Cannibal Holocaust was banned in most countries but it has nothing to do with the PETA.
