I haven’t read the comics but man, this is freaking awesome. It’s like reading comics while playing video games and watching a film at the same time. Long story short, badass fight scenes, cartoonish effects, brilliant yet catchy songs and outstanding storyline make this adaptation a perfect hangover.
Let us make a character breakdown, shall we? Scott is boring at first yet cool and awesome, Ramona is even more boring than him, Knives has ADD (what the hell?), Wallace is gay (that’s all) and of course, the seven evil exes are kickass.
I know there’s the alternate ending (which is the real in the comics) but I watch the theatrical version by mistake. Overall, this contains elements from several video games that we grew up and some “company” placement courtesy of Universal Pictures, the same company who brought us “The Wizard”.
Anyway, it is a cool movie (no questions asked).
