Shorties: Batman (1989)

Now that’s what I call instant classic. Being a superhero does not rely on superpowers or fancy outfits and that is why Batman is one of the best superheroes of all time.
First of all, Tim Burton manages to change its direction from comedy slapstick of the 60s to his own dark masterpiece. I agree with the people that Danny Elfman’s musical score, don’t get me wrong with the fucked up song by Prince, is the key to an epic proportion but I disagree that Michael Keaton is unsuitable for playing the main character.
Jack Nicholson is no stranger when it comes to villain roles and he does perfectly for the Joker. I have two complaints for this film: Kim Basinger and Billy Dee Williams. Screaming all the time hurts my ears and I am not promoting racism but a black guy as Harvey Dent is unrealistic.
If you want to collide with the Dark Knight, then watch this 1989 well-written, cinematic excellence.
