I would rather rent this sports comedy movie than the mutilated “Rover Dangerfield”. At first, it was terrible but when I sat on my couch the whole time, it was pretty good.
I know what you are all thinking. Jonathan Brandis dresses like a girl? Come on. It’s no big deal for me. After all, it is comedy. Rodney’s one-line jokes are better than the fucking animated one but fail to bring down “Caddyshack” and “Back to School”.
I almost forget that “Ladybugs” was released in 1992, the same year as A League of Their Own, another sports film (this time, it’s baseball) starring Tom Hanks and Geena Davis. If you ask me which one is better, my answer is the Penny Marshall one.
One last thing: watch out for Great Balls of Fire! It will burn your skin figuratively. If you want to see more Rodney laughter, then go check it out.
