Shorties: The Town

    Remember actors-turned-directors like Clint Eastwood, Woody Allen, Kevin James and Mel Brooks? I thought “The Town” is Ben Affleck’s directorial debut but I seem overlooked when I realize that Gone Baby Gone is first film in a director’s seat with his brother as the main star.
    Based on my research, Charlestown is infamous for gang wars in the past, not bank robberies but who gives a damn, it is a 5-star crime drama that surpasses “Heat” and “NYPD Blue”. The story steals the attention from “Gran Turimo” but fails to overpass the North Hollywood shootout in 1997.
    Ben Affleck is awesome, Jon Hamm is cool, Rebecca Hall is hot, Jeremy Renner is badass, Pete Postlethwaite is a Boston crab and Blake Lively deserves to be dumped by Affleck.     If I were a teacher that gives him an assignment for this particular film project, I would really grade him an A.
